BOTOX® For Frown Lines

While people all over the world are focussing more and more on how to create a more youthful look, products to help them achieve that look are being placed under the spotlight. One of the most popular choices of treatments to combat the signs of ageing is BOTOX® for frown lines.

In general, most frown lines are formed by excessive contraction of muscles in the forehead. A very effective solution to get rid of this is BOTOX® for frown lines which act to place these muscles into hibernation. botox

The hibernation effect is always temporary and can never be permanent, usually lasting three to six months. The aim of BOTOX® for frown lines is to break the habit of frowning and re-educate the patient in his or her facial movements so that the muscles ‘forget’ how to frown. This means that the desired result can be achieved with less frequent treatments over time.

Tiny amounts are injected into specific facial muscles that cause these frown lines so only the targeted area will be blocked. Since the offending muscle can no longer be so active, BOTOX® for frown lines will prevent further damage and more wrinkles, giving a more relaxed and youthful appearance.

The dose and injection site can be varied to achieve a more relaxed and youthful face which still has expression. BOTOX® for frown lines is a prescription drug and it can only be used under medical supervision by a doctor or dental surgeon using sterile techniques.

Because BOTOX® treatments are so effective in improving moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows; many patients undergo BOTOX® for frown lines treatment as an alternative to a brow lift.
